Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage a team responsible for preparing and filing tax returns, statements, and other reports at required intervals.
- Review and approve the preparation of paperwork for local, state, and federal level returns to minimize tax liability.
- Analyze and approve accounting and financial records to prepare reports and provide guidance and recommendations.
- Stay current on federal, state, and local tax legislation to ensure compliance.
- Supervise, delegate, and develop the estate/trust team.
- Provide exceptional client service and develop trusted client relationships.
- Generate new business and cross-selling leads with existing clients.
Who We’re Looking For:
- CPA license preferred, but no necessarily required
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting and tax, working with business and individual clients
- Experience with estate and trust tax would be nice, but not required.
- Proficiency with tax management applications and MS Office packages.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
- Commitment to staying updated on emerging tax laws and trends.
